The BCAS plays a key role in setting standards and codes of practice within the industry. BCAS also lobbies the UK government on behalf of UK industry and business, e.g. to outlaw non-compliant products. It works with a range of organisations and government departments, including the Health and Safety Executive, standards agencies, and training initiatives. It publishes information on the state of the compressed air equipment UK market. Achilles was founded in Norway in 1990 with the goal of helping organisations to identify, assess, qualify, and monitor suppliers throughout the supply chain with an aim of reducing operating costs. As well as ensuring regular refresher training from manufacturers, our staff have also reached high levels of competance in other areas, including DipCam(BCAS), Achilles Services, Skill Cards, CSCS, Electrical certification, IPAF, and The St Johns Ambulance First Aid and Fire Marshal courses.
Our Head Office at Witham, Essex covers East Anglia and East London, and our Welwyn Garden City depot covers Hertfordshire and the remainder of the London area.
